About Feathers and Paws Rescue In The Dales
Feathers and Paws Rescue In The Dales is a local dedicated animal rescue focused on the rescue and rehabilitation of birds and hedgehogs.
My mission is to provide a safe haven for these animals and to make sure each animal has the best chance to survive, to grow and then be released back into the wild.
What I Do?
At Feathers and Paws Rescue In The Dales, I personally work tirelessly to rescue injured or abandoned birds and hedgehogs. Through my partnerships with Wensleydale Vets, we ensure that each animal receives the medical attention they need. I also strive to raise awareness who to contact if you find an abandoned or injured animal in the wild.
Who Am I?
I am the founded and out of a love for wildlife,
Feathers and Paws Rescue In The Dales began when injured birds and hedgehogs were regularly brought into the veterinary practice where I work.
At the time, there was nowhere local to rehabilitate and care for these wild animals before they could be returned to their natural habitat.
Seeing this need, I decided to open my home wildlife rescue centre from my own home. What started with just a few birds and hedgehogs has grown into a place dedicated to giving injured and orphaned wildlife a second chance, with the ultimate aim of rehabilitating and releasing them back into the wild where they belong.
Working full time for Wensleydale Vets it soon became apparent there was no where locally to provide a temporary home and help for animals that were found.
I am very is passionate about providing second chances for vulnerable animals and have started to foster them so they can grow and then be re introduced back into the wild.
